I now have a stack of card, trimmed to 8x8, each painted in a bright background colour, just waiting for me to pull out and work on. For this particular piece, I used Dylusions Paint, Bubblegum Pink.
I worked over the top, with a starburst stencil using white paint which I outlined once dry. I added my Rebel Freak character and doodled over it using a Sharpie, a Micron & a White Uni-ball pen. The blue eyes were painted with a Posca pen.
Posca pens were also used to create the lime green border as well as the green blobs doodle.
Why did I opt for yellow-greens? Its the complimentary colour to the Bubblegum Pink (or Red-Violet) on the colour wheel. And let's just say, it's not a page you can easily ignore. Even across the room, sat on a stack of pages, I can see it screaming "LOOK AT ME"! It's a bit of a Diva, colour-wise.
And that's why I love it :)
