Leeds, Mike & Halloween Workshop Page

I had the great pleasure to meet up with my online friend and fellow vlogger (see yesterday's post), Mr Mike Deakin, as he was holding an art journal day at his premises in Leeds.

The theme for the day was Steampunk Halloween, but not wishing to add gears to my pages, I still joined in with the Halloween aspect of the day. Mike, as well as generously laying on a bounty of sweets, tea and biscuits, printed out some spooky designs for us to incorporate into our pages.

I was even given a special page, just for me. A PVC clad, leather booted muscle mary. Well as you can see for the above, it collaged perfectly with a skull print out.

I'd already painted a couple of pages before my trip, mainly because I know this step needs time to dry properly. On the day, after gluing down my collage, the rest was all Posca pens. Their great advantage being they're quick to dry.

I didn't complete it there. So I've been beavering away at it, adding more detail and stamping splodges. And it's finally ready to share, just in time for the relevant day.

And tomorrow, there's another post been scheduled of an art journal page, with a spooky feel to it.

I hope you'll pop by and see xx
