Art Journal Page: Risks Are Precious

Hello Again :) It's my turn today to share some Visible Image love.

As you can see, I'm still happy creating my art journal pages. And I love thinking up ways to incorporate their stamps into my designs. A list of the ones I used, with links, can be found at the foot of this post.

I began with a wash of blue acrylic ink over the whole background. Then I stamped a repeat texture over the top in black Staz-On ink. I stamped the clock design & the words onto card which had a coat of red acrylic ink and cut them all out.

I made the figure out of magazine cut-outs and the clock stamp, glued to my page and outlined with paint pens.

I took a piece of card which had been coloured with green acrylic ink, cut out a wavy border freehand and stamped with Ink Splat designs.

Gotta say, I'm really pleased with how much the red pops against the blue background. It's always been a favourite combo. I was going to go with an orange border but the lime green works just as well, if not better. Playing with bold colours just makes me happy, full stop. It really awakens my mojo and makes playing in my little creative space, a joy.

Now here's the list of stamps I used, as promised:
